Hamirpur

Well known for the child holy saint "Shri Baba Balak Nath Deoth Sidh", area lies in the South-West piece of the state and comprise the focal smaller scale district of Himachal Pradesh. Tract is bumpy, secured by Shivalik Range. The historical backdrop of region Hamirpur is personally connected with the Katoch line which controlled the area among Ravi and Satluj known as 'Trigerta'. Hamirpur got its name from Raja Hamir Chand who administered this zone from 1700 AD to 1740 AD.

Hamirpur is the most educated locale of the state and is very much associated by streets from all sides. Area imparts its geological limits to Bilaspur, Mandi, Kangra and Una areas. Greater part of the individuals serve in the barrier administrations, in this way known as "Veer Bhoomi".


The area is secured by various lasting streams which are tributaries of either waterway Beas or waterway Satluj. Bakar Khad, Kunah Khad and Man Khad channel into waterway Beas, while Sukar Khad and Mundkhar Khad channel into Seer Khad which eventually blends into the stream Satluj.
